Trending: Monochrome Maximalism
28 April 2022

April 2022: Traditionally associated with pared-back minimalist schemes, the monochrome palette has been reinvented in recent years to express decadent, maximalist tastes. Pairing crisp whites with rich ebony tones offers a striking contrast ideal for giving interiors an ultra-modern update. The Habitat team have seen increased demand for bold monochrome homewares, as customers look to make a statement in the home.
“We’re seeing customers become more daring with monochromatic designs, opting for eye-catching printed textiles and accessories to liven up muted interiors. Without fear of clashing colours, a neutral palette allows for playful experimentation with different textures, patterns and scales. Layer up contrasting prints such as polka dots, geometric forms and botanical motifs in living areas for an eclectic more-is-more approach, or opt for a few statement pieces of patterned cookware for a more understated look.”
