Habitat launches 60th Anniversary 'Gold Edit' to celebrate the season of entertaining
22 July 2024

In a continuation of Habitat’s 60th Anniversary celebrations this year, the Gold Edit is a luxe capsule collection of pieces created by the brand's in-house design studio, as well as a colour update to the cocktail accessories designed by Habitat collaborator Tord Boontje to follow on from the stainless steel version launched in May.
In honour of a season that traditionally embraces at-home celebrations and entertaining, the collection includes gold-splattered ceramic tableware, a minimalist cocktail trolley and a statement candelabra first launched in the late '90s which has been reintroduced from the archive. To complement the new designs, a signature fragrance range has been developed with notes of amber wood and musk contained in a hand blown confetti glass vessel, conceived by inhouse designer Tom Sullivan.
The hero of the Gold Edit is the Hendricks Sofa, upholstered in sumptuous Matte Velvet Chenille, and available for autumn as part of Habitat’s new Made-To-Order offering. The softly muted caramel hue has a subtle warmth that is both luxurious and liveable.
"The Gold Edit was a chance for our design studio to go one step further with our anniversary celebrations and develop a selection of statement pieces that are unapologetically luxurious. Gold is opulent and timeless, it provides a mellowing halo that enriches a space and exudes a feeling of grandeur. The candelabra is from our Archive and brings a great statement piece back this winter for stunning tablescaping."
Andrew Tanner, Habitat Head of Design
The Gold Edit will be available from October 2024 in selected Sainsbury’s stores and online at habitat.co.uk and argos.co.uk
