Habitat announces exclusive tableware collection in collaboration with iconic British name Sanderson and Europe’s largest conservation charity, National Trust

The collection captures the timeless beauty of Britain’s landscapes and the rich history of its country houses.

Habitat has partnered with Sanderson and National Trust to launch an exclusive tableware collection inspired by the beloved patterns and flora found in National Trust properties. It comprises a series of dinnerware, kitchen textiles, glassware and hosting essentials adorned with bold and playful woodland motifs of berries, fruits and florals paired with delightful painted stripes for the perfect accompaniment to a modern dining table.

Habitat’s in-house design studio has created more than 60 exclusive pieces that each tell a story through shape, form and texture, blending heritage and contemporary design seamlessly. Four captivating prints appear across the collection, all inspired by Sanderson’s extensive pattern archive and the National Trust’s dedication to preserving natural and cultural heritage. Evoking abundant blooms and delicate botanicals, each print is joined by a timeless palette of nature-inspired green, ochre, sky blue and rose-pink hues. Adding a modern spin for today’s homes, a series of oversized motifs and hand-painted stripes add a fresh updated feel.

"Collaborating with Sanderson and National Trust has allowed us to draw from beloved landscapes and landmarks, combining Sanderson’s trademark expertise for pattern and print with Habitat’s accessible, design-led thinking. The collection encapsulates the beauty of British heritage while reimagining traditional designs for today’s homes, underpinned by Habitat’s commitment to quality and affordability.” Hannah Mallett, Director of Product for Habitat

From hand-blown wine glasses to solid wood trays and intricately etched serve boards, each piece tells a unique story. In celebration of the quintessentially British ritual of afternoon tea, a collection of mugs, serveware and ornate cake stands make the perfect accompaniment for year-round hosting moments. The versatile collection brings a touch of playful luxury to homes and was designed to complement all interior styles, from traditional to contemporary.

“We have a treasured longstanding relationship with the National Trust and thoroughly enjoy celebrating their work. Their expertise and preservation of our shared landscapes, wildlife, flora and fauna have inspired the beautiful designs we’ve created for them. We're also proud that four percent of the retail selling price will go to the National Trust charity which helps care for nature, beauty, and history, for everyone, for ever.

“Habitat is renowned for its accessible homeware designs. They have taken our iconic designs and patterns and created wonderfully useable, everyday products for this collection. The patterns and colours work beautifully, so well designed and crafted, adding a sense of occasion and a touch of nostalgia to the every day.”
Claire Vallis, Sanderson Design Director.

The partnership pays homage to the values of all three brands, championing quality, craftsmanship and a commitment to timeless design. Nestled in the serene grounds and surroundings, the photography also captures the nature and heritage that inspired the collection.

The Habitat x Sanderson x National Trust collection will be available from 12th January 2025 in select Sainsbury’s stores and online from 25th January at Habitat.co.uk and Argos.co.uk. Pricing starts from £2.25 for printed glassware.
