Habitat launches exclusive Made to Order upholstery range

August 2024 - Habitat announces a new Made to Order upholstery collection spanning 21 exclusive fabrics across 14 ranges. The collection is exclusive to Habitat and made in the UK.
The collection heralds the return of much-loved Habitat archive designs including the Hendricks, Swift, Askem and Fenner sofas that have been refreshed with contemporary upholstery finishes and colours. The range also welcomes new designs to the offering created by the in-house design studio, including the mid-century Turnmill and Scandi-inspired Ayr sofas by James Cottingham along with Will Hudson’s timeless Holmfirth sofa.

Bringing together Habitat’s bestselling designs from the archive with new introductions from the in-house design team, the collection spans a wide array of styles for all interior tastes.
The new offering has a number of customisable options for designing a beautiful bespoke piece of furniture, including 21 new colourways and 5 different qualities available across 2 seater, 3 seater, chaise and corner seating styles. Customers can also select their preferred leg type, choosing between a dark wood or a lighter ash finish.”

The Made to Order range spans a diverse array of colourways offering options for all interior styles. Neutral shades and a new cornflower blue hue are expected to be bestsellers, with vibrant papaya, burnt orange and emerald green shades predicted to also be popular. Fabrics include flat weave, textured weave, and chenille, along with a velvet upholstery made from 100% recycled materials. A new Aquaclean® fabric is perfect for families and households with pets, offering a soft matt appearance and stain resistant technology that allows marks and stains to be removed simply using just a little water.
All models are crafted from FSC timber and the collection welcomes Habitat’s first Full Circle™ range, the Lomond, which enables key component parts, from its wooden frame to bolts and screws, to be fully recycled at the end of its life.
Each sofa comes with a 15 year frame guarantee to ensure it loses none of the quality and comfort from when it was originally purchased. New for the Made to Order range, the delivery team is on hand to transport the sofa to a room of choice, unpack, assemble and remove packaging, enabling the smoothest delivery possible.
The collection is available online now at habitat.co.uk and argos.co.uk, with made to order footstools starting from £395, armchairs from £550 and sofas from £795. Delivery lead times are 8-9 weeks and the final deadline for Christmas orders is 22nd October.
