Autumn Winter 2022 Design Heroes

September 2022: Habitat's in-house team of 28 designers and product developers have created enduring and stylish pieces for the new season. Quality furniture has been designed to stand the test of time, accompanied by a range of on-trend accessories for small-scale, affordable updates to interiors.

Outstanding design and quality craftsmanship remain at the core of the offering, which combines styles from Habitat's extensive archive with the latest materials and manufacturing techniques.

Yuri Table Lamp, £35

Functionality meets decadence in this simple statement piece designed by Habitat's Lighting & Home Accessories Designer, Tom Sullivan. Referencing the sculptural forms evocative of the Art Deco movement, a smoked glass globe rests atop a rectangular stand made from luxurious brushed brass.

Rattan Side Table, £70

The six-strong furniture team looked back to Habitat's rich archive of artisan designs to inspire this rattan side table. Defined by intricate hand-woven style and intersecting mango wood, the combination depicts boho chic to create a rustic and contemporary piece with an eclectic appeal.

Cotton Mâché Storage Pot, £14

Habitat's product development team have introduced cotton mâché, which upcycles 100% waste cotton from the clothing industry. Using a hand-formed mâché technique, the result is a unique, organic design for practical storage.

Confetti Glass Table Lamp, £30

Tom Sullivan was influenced by the iconic Murano glass designs of the 1970s when designing this mushroom lamp. Using an age-old technique, hand-blown glass has been rolled over small chips of crushed glass to produce the unique splatter pattern with a distinctly retro feel.

Martini Table, £42

Reflecting the ritual of cocktail hour which started in the 1920s, the furniture design team tapped into the historic decadence of entertaining with this martini table. Characterised by a glamorous brushed gold finish and heavy, weighted base, this piece makes an ideal addition to the home ahead of entertaining season.

Mango Wood Serve Bowl, £20

Mango wood was a natural choice for the tableware team when designing this serve bowl due to its durable, long-lasting qualities which are well-suited to kitchen and dining settings. The unrefined, textured grain of the wood contributes to a relaxed, handcrafted feel ideal for informal winter dining.

Ripple Textured Dinner Set, £55

The Ripple tableware collection is defined by tactile, organic forms and a speckled reactive glaze. Each piece has been crafted in Portugal by artisan ceramicists and is available in versatile stone and sage green hues.

Joyful Floor Cushion, £50

Building on the bestselling range of beanbags, the Joyful floor cushion boasts a relaxed triangle silhouette designed for laid-back living. Habitat's three print designers landed on this bold abstract print in response to the popular squiggle trend, to bring a playful quality to the home.

Rustic Glass Vase, £35

This vase takes a nostalgic look back to childhood with its rounded form and syrupy hue reminiscent of boiled sweets. The distinctive amber glass has been hand-blown, resulting in slight irregularities that render each vase unique.
